In a CNC machining center, proximity sensors are installed on the machine safety door to detect whether the door is properly closed before operation begins. These sensors are connected to our Serial RS485 I/O Controller, which continuously monitors the door status in real time. When the operator closes the safety door, the proximity sensor sends a signal to the controller, and the controller updates the machine-ready status to the PLC and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system via Modbus RTU communication. If the door is opened during operation, the controller instantly detects the change and triggers a stop command or safety alert to prevent accidents. With reliable RS485 communication and fast digital input response, our I/O Controller ensures enhanced operator safety, regulatory compliance, and uninterrupted industrial performance.

In a real-time conveyor monitoring application inside a manufacturing plant, proximity sensors are installed along the conveyor line to detect the presence and movement of products. These sensors are connected directly to our Serial RS485 I/O Controller, which continuously reads the digital input signals and transmits the status data via Modbus RTU to the central control system. Whenever a product passes through the sensing point, the controller captures the signal instantly and updates the production count in the PLC and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. If a product is missing, stuck, or delayed beyond a set time, the system can trigger an alert or automatically stop the conveyor to prevent downstream errors. With reliable long-distance RS485 communication and stable real-time data transfer, our I/O Controller ensures accurate production tracking, reduced material loss, and improved operational efficiency on the shop floor.
