LIN Gateway

Connect your LIN bus-based automotive devices and equipment to a cloud server without any changes to your device. Just connect, configure, and you're ready to go!

The LIN gateway is a compact, plug-and-play device that allows any LIN bus to connect to the cloud via cellular connectivity. It can be configured using the custom tool, PreciCon. This gateway features built-in surge protection diodes to safeguard the LIN bus and can operate both as a master and a slave. Perfect for integrating into a vehicle telematics system for remote vehicle diagnostics, providing a seamless and secure connection to the cloud.

Highlights

PreciCloud - Cloud Dashboard

A customized cloud dashboard for viewing the acquired data from anywhere at any time. It also supports remote device configuration, OTA device firmware update, and email/SMS notifications. User can download the reports in CSV, XLS, PDF..

PreciCon - Configurator Tool

Configure the LIN, cloud and data acquisition/upload interval settings using our customized configurator tool "PreciCon".it is possible to configure gateway’s serial settings, Modbus registers, event conditions & cloud settings.

Quality & Efficiency

Durable, robust ABS plastic enclosure can withstand the toughest automotive or industrial conditions. Rigidly screw your adapter with available flange arrangement and connect the device to LIN bus via simple four wire connection.

Applications

LIN gateway for remote vehicle diagnostics

Our LIN gateway serves as a wireless gateway providing cellular connectivity to any LIN 2.0 based system. User can configure the bit rate and cloud upload interval via USB or Over-The-Air using the custom tool names PreciCon. Connecting to the LIN bus will be very simple 4-wire connection. Once connected, the LIN gateway can acquire and periodically upload the LIN data to cloud.

In addition, the device also records the data in inbuilt memory in .csv or .MF4 format when cellular connectivity is lost. This feature enables reliable and secure cloud communication which is ideal for remote vehicle diagnostics. PreciCloud dashboard can be used for remote monitoring in subscription model or the device can upload the data to any third-party server owned by the user.

FAQs

A LIN gateway acts as a bridge, allowing different systems or networks to communicate with a Local Interconnect Network (LIN) bus, typically by converting LIN data to another protocol like CAN or to a wireless standard for cloud connectivity.
